Voice Description

My voice has a warm resonant tone, with slight gravel. I have a wide vocal range with a farly deep baritone to falsetto voices. I can do warm and deep for narrations or smooth and professinal for presentations. I specialize in odd and unusual for cartoons or humorous advertisments. I have a sizable assortment of middle aged and senior male voices ranging from kindly old man to obnoxious coot to frail and ancient.
I also have a very good graveled grizzled drill-sargent type. I have a wide range of accents including, American (New York, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island, New England, Southern, Minnesota Wisconsin, Southwest, Califonia, New Orleans) Canadian, British or English accents (Northern, Liverpool, Cockney, Southern, London) Scottish, Welsh, Irish, French, German, Australian, New Zealand, Russian, Japanese, Indian, Scandanavian, Spanish, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Jewish. I am constantly in the process of learning new accents, and can pick one up very quickly. I am an excellent mimic of vocal mannerisms, although I am not an impressionist. I have a strong and polished singing voice with a large octave range, and though I cannot read music, I have perfect pitch.

My Voice Experience

I learned Voice Acting the hard way... On the mean digital streets of the American Podcast! After a life-long fascination with cartoon voice actors, sketch comedy records, and old time radio shows, I decided to carve out my own distinct niche by creating an audio venue where I could hone my skills doing a huge variety of characters and performances. The result came about on Feburary 23, 2005 when I created the Teknikal Diffikulties (tekdiff.com) comedy podcast: A weekly one-man scripted and improvised sketch comedy program. In this ongoing showcase, I have written and performed over 40 hours of original material with a catalog of over 400 different characters for whom I provide the voices. It has been lauded on National Public Radio, and is currently in the running for the Best Comedy Prize in the Podcast Peer Awards. This experience has led me to write and produce several commercials for ProductionGuy.com and create numerous promotional spots for fellow podcasters. Here is a listing of my credits:
